Our family is the gym that love works out in. Now to think about this in context of the gym and how the gym works it takes a lot of time and hard work to accomplish goals. It takes time to see what areas we need to work out or work on to get the areas we want to see massive improvements.
Even more, it takes time to learn which equipment or machines to work out on to get results. Sometimes it even takes getting a trainer to help to teach you, show you, train you, and even motivate you to see what else you might need to get to the destination you want.
In life our relationships are the same way, the work we put into our relationships will speak to the results that are developed. The time we take to learn and see the areas that need more work is vital and essential to knowing how to create the change you want to see.
Taking time to learn areas we need help in saves us from wasting time and opportunity. Also saves us from making mistakes and loosing things we could have kept.
This will also help you to know the next best move. Learning the ways, you must use to solve the issue or fill the void is an important part to successful relationships.
Knowing if you need a trainer or not is also an important place where we must be honest in our relationships. So, as we grow and get stronger in relationships, we will see that just like the gym, the weight never gets lighter, we get stronger and smarter about how we handle life. The weight of the relationship never gets lighter, we just get better with handling issues and interacting with each other.
Just as when we change our perspective of weight it will change the way we carry it, when we change our perspective of things in life, we will change how we live.
Spirits provoke emotions, emotions cause actions and actions create our lives. This book is to challenge your identity and how you show up in the world because how we show us to the world says more to the world about us then we say about ourselves. God gave us relationships so that we could be the reflection of God’s love to the world.
The world should understand the love of God through the love they see exemplified through relationships. The world should know more about Jesus from seeing true love for one another. Family existed before the church so the goal isn’t to sacrifice the family for the church, but the church would help to better regulate the family.
In all, throughout this book, please keep in mind at all times: The image of God and even more importantly, your family is your ministry.
